HELPFUL ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BOOK.
Everything you need to know before hiring your skip.
Our skip bins are suitable for general waste, green waste, and light construction materials. Certain items cannot be placed in the skip, including hazardous waste, asbestos, chemicals, paint, batteries, tyres, and gas bottles. If you’re unsure whether something is accepted, please check with us before booking.
Yes, if the skip bin needs to go on public land such as a road or nature strip, most councils require a permit first. Permit times vary but usually take a few days to be approved, so let us know early if you need this arrangement. If the skip is on private property, no permit is required.
The preferred placement is always on your private property (driveway or hard surface). If you don’t have space on your property, we can help with advice on placement and permit requirements for public land placement.
No. For safety and transport reasons, skips must be filled level with the top edge only. Overfilling can prevent safe collection and may result in additional charges or delayed pickup.
Our standard skip hire includes a set hire period, with flexible options available if you need the skip for longer. Just let us know your timeframe when booking, and we’ll work with you to suit your project.
Collection is arranged once your hire period ends or when you let us know the skip is ready to be picked up. Just contact us and we’ll organise prompt collection at a time that suits.
Not necessarily. As long as we have clear instructions and access to the placement area, we can deliver and pick up the skip without you being present. Just let us know your preferred placement when booking.
Payment is usually taken at the time of booking or prior to delivery. We accept standard payment methods, call us if you have any questions about how to make payment.
Yes, if we have availability and you contact us early in the day, we can often arrange same-day delivery. For peace of mind, booking a day or two ahead is recommended.
If the bin is filled and you’re ready for collection earlier than scheduled, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to arrange an earlier pickup.
Skip trucks are heavy and placing a skip on soft ground like grass can risk damage. We recommend placing skips on a hard surface where possible, or using protective boards underneath to minimize impact.
